Exactly at midnight,
she appeared right on cue.
Fresh in her newness,
her moments all brand new.
Guarding her integrity,
will make a better world.
For every living man and woman,
every boy and girl.
Count her birth another chance,
and hold it ever near,
2012 , a gift of God…

Pure
Hidden in this mortal frame is a beating heart, I’m told.
It’s flesh…just flesh and yets it’s value exceeds the finest gold.
It’s rhythm… Ah, a drummers dream, it’s voice great hopes procure .
And now I pray, before my Lord… My beating heart is pure.

In the hollow of the mountain
is a cabin rough and plain.
Wandering toward it from the valley
is a rough and rutted lane.
In the cabin lives a hermit,
in a world he calls his own.
In the safety of the forest,
in this place he calls his home.
No one in the village
ever thinks about his needs,
As he dwells atop the mountain,
amongst the brambles and the weeds.
Yet he smiles and that quite often,
caressed so gently by the winds.
He has learned, in his aloneness
God and nature make good friends.
