Shadows of blessings
In the early hours before dawn,
A shadow on the moonlit lawn.
I stood watching from my place,
A specter move with poise and grace.
I knew Him and He knew me
Familiar as two friends could be,
A thought of blessing,void of curse
My God, my World, my Universe.
I see Him in the stars at night
And in the beauty of morning light
I see him in the flowers that bloom,
I sense Him in a crowded room.
I feel Him in the hours of dawn
A breeze across the moonlit lawn.
