How glorious was that moment I happened upon
How wonderful that breathe I breathed
How sweet is life the gift it is
How happy I am to believe
How noticeable the beauties all around
How glorious the beat of my heart
How tender the love between God and man
Of which you and I take part
How great is a friendship forged in trust
How hopeful the day with its charms
How precious the love of a woman and man
When a baby lies safe in their arms
How grateful I am to the giver of life
By whose providence I am secure
I pledged to Him then I pledge to Him now
My efforts to live transparent and pure
How glorious this moment I’m living now
How wonderful this breathe I breath
How sweet is my life the gift that it is
How happy am I to believe!

What is life but a flicker
A breath a span a vapor across the sky.
Unstoppable inescapable
Unchallengeable ordained
Licensed for adventure designed for experiences
Reaching hoping conquering
Inquiring ever inquiring
Receiving giving living
A moment a flicker a breath a span
A vapor across the sky!

Fly Free
She hopped to the lowest limb, clinging tightly trembling with fear.
Watching closely that dreaded one who’s always lingering near.
He stared at her with cold green eyes, and mocked her pitiful cry.
In his awful stalking way, he dared the bird to fly.
If she tried if she failed, she knew all would be lost.
The very thought drove her mad, she could not bear the cost.
The day wore on, night drew near, she knew she didn’t want to die.
She couldn’t hang on here forever, she was gonna have to try.
With pounding heart and fluttering wing, she cast her lot to the air.
Much to his and her surprise, she soared without a care.
She knows now and he knows now, her safety is the sky.
Don’t sit and wait in pain and fear, all you have to do is fly.
